Overview

This guide will cover rfx’s topology optimisation pipeline:

• Density parameterisation — continuous relaxation of material presence
• Cone filter — minimum feature-size enforcement via spatial filtering
• Smooth Heaviside projection — binarisation with differentiable thresholding
• Beta continuation schedule — progressive sharpening toward 0/1 designs
• Gradient computation — jax.grad through the full FDTD loop
